Is Medication the Only Way to Help Your Child Feel Better?

There’s another way. A gentle, child-centered approach that helps kids heal from the inside out—without relying only on medication.

If your child still struggles with big feelings, meltdowns, or worry—even after trying therapy or medication—you’re not alone.

At Foye-Fletcher Therapy, I help toddlers, children, and teens express emotions, calm their bodies, and build confidence through connection, creativity, and play.

Parenting a child with emotional or behavior struggles can feel overwhelming.

You’ve done everything you can—talked with teachers, tried reward charts, met with doctors, started medication—and yet, the challenges remain.

Maybe your child seems calmer for a little while…
But then the outbursts return. The school calls again. The worry sets in.

Many people feel like they have to choose between medicine or nothing. But that’s not true.

You start to wonder….

Meet Your Therapist

Hi, I’m Angelique Foye-Fletcher, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Registered Play Therapist.

I help sensitive kids, caring parents, and deep-feeling adults find calm after chaos. My approach blends neuroscience, nature, and play—so healing feels real, not clinical.

Clients often come to me when life feels heavy, confusing, or stuck. Together, we create space for relief, understanding, and hope.

Whether you’re parenting a strong-willed child or learning to care for the child you once were, you deserve peace that lasts.

Let’s start small. One step, one breath, one session at a time.

My Approach

  • Every child needs a trusting relationship to grow. I use Child-Centered Play Therapy and parent coaching to build safety and strengthen family bonds.

  • Outdoor and Walk-and-Talk Therapy sessions invite calm, curiosity, and mindfulness through gentle movement and time in nature.

  • Play is a child’s first language. Through toys, art, and sandtray, children express emotions they can’t yet put into words.

  • Stories help kids and families understand feelings, build empathy, and create new ways to cope—what I call Bibliotherapy.

I use gentle, child-centered methods rooted in four pillars—Connection, Nature, Play, and Books—to help children express emotions, build confidence, and thrive at home and school.
Each session is designed to meet your child where they are, helping healing unfold at their own pace.
